Ann Stortz

Owner & CEO

Ann Stortz has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and medical billing industry; working both sides of the field first with insurance companies and then billing for almost every specialty.  

Ann spent the past decade specializing in billing behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder based facilities.  

Her journey began in the insurance field at Mutual of Omaha where she worked in their Claims Department. As her career advanced, she worked all aspects of the claims field; from processing, auditing, utilization review, underwriting, customer service and much more. She expanded her expertise by moving to the "billing"  side through handling claims in many various specialties. Eventually, her path lead her to remotely set-up and run the billing operations for a new eating disorder facility located across the country from her home in south Florida. 

Ann developed an affinity for working in the behavioral health field, which has been her primary focus ever since. 

Her expertise includes supervising both sides and aspects of a billing department, verification of benefits, billing and collections, pricing and managed care contracting, assisting with formatting admissions packets, and even logo design. 

In 2011, Ann took a leap of faith and started her own billing company; a courageous act she is grateful for as her small company has grown tremendously ever since. Her foundation has grown strong working with clinicians, insurance carriers, managed care networking departments, and case management departments across the country. She developed a strong network of connections who know her to be fair and reasonable, and above all: ethical in all her dealings. She has built her company focusing on her number one mandate: to offer impeccable customer service through a "boutique-style" approach individualized for each facility. 

Doreen Casanave


Doreen has been Licensed in Practical Nursing for over 30 years.  She has worked as a nurse in psychiatric care, geriatrics, neurology, adolescent behavioral health, a wide variety of community health, and for many years in school based nursing. 

In 2012, Doreen started at Coast to Coast as a Utilization Review Specialist. Using her combined experience, she understood the importance of advocating for the patient. She worked closely with each facility and their clinical teams ensuring a thorough understanding of the UR process and upheld the highest standards of care. After a year, she was presented with the opportunity to develop a Utilization Department; soon thereafter became the Director of Utilization. She  surrounded herself with an experienced clinical team; a highly qualified licensed and/or holding a postgraduate degree. They are devoted to following and executing the highest standards developed by Doreen. 

As a result of the success Doreen had as Director of Utilization Review, she was promoted to the position of Chief of Operations and presently works closely with each of the facilities ensuring Coast to Coast is providing superior service. Doreen works closely with the Owner & CEO, Ann Stortz and the Managing Director, Jeanne McTernan overseeing each department within the company. 

Doreen strives to always look for ways to improve processes and see that each client is happy with their services.
